NB! According to the article 124.1 of The Cabinet of Ministers of The Republic of Latvia the regulations Nr.793, a private person who sells his gold has to fill and hand in an application which confirms the fact that the gold belongs to the client and the deal is not connected with an entrepreneurship, except for the case when the total sum of deals during a year doesn’t exceed 140 LVL (quadrupled non-taxable minimum). A client is obliged to show passport if he want to sale gold.
In accordance with the article Nr. 30 of the Law of Taxes and Duties Tavex for purchased gold has a right to pay to a client in cash with a limit of 10 000 LVL per month (the total sum consists of all the deals made by the same person during a month). If the total sum exceeds the limit Tavex transfer the money to the bank account of a client without any limit. Money transfer is made during one day.
