General information about gold bars
Name Gold bars are often called also gold bricks and bullions
Cast or stamped The majority of gold bars are divided into two types depending on their production methodology: cast or stamped. In the case of cast bars, the melted gold is cast in a special mould and the markings are pressed into the gold later by hand or with a press. Stamped bars are made from specially cut gold panels. Images are transferred to the panels with special stamping presses (similarly to those used on gold coins).
